DDR players: what’s the best way to track DDR sessions with an Apple Watch? i’m trying one out for the first time and wondering what the activity equivalent would be… “high intensity interval training”? “stair stepper”?

HIIT + recommend taking it off your wrist and putting the watch unit in your pocket.

hahah, interesting - i tried a HIIT set today and found myself worrying that anytime i grabbed the bar it wasn’t ‘counting’… i guess this would alleviate that!

HIIT will only give you accurate results if the song speed/ dancing are in intervals, i’d say free workout would prob be good, tracks steps and calories

i thought about this, and they sort of are… a typical 4 song set is 90-100 seconds of intense movement, followed by like 30-40 seconds of downtime, repeated for each song. would that qualify as HIIT?

in the workout dropdown choose "other", when workout is finished, it'll ask you to define "other", choose "dance" from that dropdown. starting and quickly stopping won't work, you gotta do a song or two, 10 mins, then it'll ask you, and it'll remember. "play" is also an option.
