So when will every R1 have 2 DDR Ace cabinets then? There aren’t nearly enough machines to meet the current demand.

I'd hate being the one saying it, but maybe it's because DDR isn't that pop anymore. Plus Ace was released a while back, no?

The fact that there is still more demand than supply after 2.5 years says anything but “it isn’t that pop anymore”

I'm sure there is but this be on Konami for not meeting said demand. I know my store had 2 DDR A machines but one was taken to another store out of state.

Well I’m sure it couldn’t hurt for R1 to stay vocal about getting more cabs then

There’s no shortage of cabs (in production). There’s simply no incentive for R1 to get more. Main profit drivers are food and beverage, not games of DDR.

Yet they made it a point to put a 2nd Dance Rush cab at every location?

my understanding is that Dance Rush is doing surprisingly well in the US, but is kind of underperforming in JP. this announcement feels like the result of Konami having more DR cabinets in Japan than they need – not necessarily a reflection of demand for / popularity of the games
