kinda wild that Bethesda gave Fallout Shelter actual controller support on the Switch, but The Pokemon Company couldn’t bother to do the same for Pokemon Quest

Fallout Shelter lets you navigate all the menus and functions with the controller like a normal video game. Pokemon Quest makes you move a big pretend finger with the analog stick because they didn't feel like giving it actual non-touch controls

Although not the primary way to do so you can move between the options with the controller buttons, at least for combat. Left and right to go between Pokémon, then the respective buttons on the right side for each attack.
