    We're going to exceed the 20-25,000 deaths that were "baked in" for January.

    On 17 March, Sir Patrick Vallance, the chief scientific adviser, said keeping UK Covid-19 deaths below 20,000 would be a "good result". With a further 1,290 deaths announced today, 21,068 have died in the first 21 days of this month.

    Just watching the start of ITV covid documentary Someone said he assumed people would be safer in care homes. It shocks me people still have a high opinion of Tories. After 10 years, people still blinker themselves from reality. :( What does it take.

    it feels like having a sound system blaring at you on full blast for years and then suddenly cutting out. there’s phantom music in our heads. we can’t process things at normal volume yet. our ears are ringing with the last four years in all this relative silence.

    Frankly it’s been said a ton by and - this wasn’t incompetence. It was malice.

    One source described their moment of really realizing that Trump admin really had no federal vaccine plan to speak of: "Wow, just further affirmation of complete incompetence."
