@nthderivative @nasaman58 By writing "No" after the question "Is Pluto a planet again," you are introducing inherent bias to the article, an inbuilt bias based on the assumption that only the IAU gets to decide this & only their view is correct.

sure, teaching kids that there are 100s of planets vs. 8 or 9 is confusing. But teaching that there are ONLY 8 (or 9) planets ERASES the 100s of other things rotating the sun. all my life i pictured the solar system like this, nothing else!pic.twitter.com/z1Ybd5nPVU

Also, Mike Brown is not a "heavy weight" although he wants to be. He was one of 3 people who discovered Eris & the other 2, David Rabinowitz & Chad Trujillo, disagree with him & support the geophysical planet definition.
