I'm searching for a psychologist who can explain how objects can become useful memory cues. Any suggestions? Pegged to sentimental gifts

-Like, I think of an uncle when I wear his watch. It's an important gift. Is there a broad theory for why certain objects matter for memory?

I think you're talking about the memory palace. It's used in memory competitions as it's a very effective use of imagery and available cues
