Donna Strickland, the woman who co-won the nobel prize this morning, was reminded that she is just the 3rd woman to win for physics. “Is that all, really? I thought there might have been more,” she said.

also, she's being awarded for work that was published in her very first published scientific paper, according to the Nobel committee. That's some sort of scientific hole-in-one.
