And it's heartening to know there's a whole lot of social scientists thinking deeply about reforms -- So that the studies of today aren't met with such whiplash 30 years from now (though some certainly will!)

It reinforces the notion of (re) visiting the original reports rather than relying on secondhand/textbook accounts. One of my PhD chapters tracked Z's changing narrative over 50 years, amazing how accounts morphed and shifted with the times.
