Interventions involving the provision of e-cigarettes had lower levels of public support. This is an interesting finding, as a very large scientific review by found e-cigarettes to be an effective way to help people quit. (cochranelibrary.com/cdsr/doi/10.10)

No two policies are the same though and we found large differences in public support for different policy options. Support was highest for:
🚭 banning smoking in more public spaces,
💰increasing tax on all forms of tobacco, and
📈 increasing the legal age of sale of tobacco.
