I support many smaller YouTubers and I find this to hurt more than help, usually before I would watch videos from this creator but I found many other videos under their name but the only thing I found different is that their name was verified

Many original creators have their videos uploaded and re-uploaded by other people that were never apart of the video or production. These smaller original creators can be easily mistaken as a fake and reported for uploading their own content because they don't have the check mark

To close off, as a consumer I'd like to know that the smaller channels I'm supporting are the real deal. Instead of removing the verification from creators that already received them, leave them be.
