Amazing turnout for the showing of "This is Love," a documentary about music legend & Wichita's own Rudy Love. It was an honor to meet Mr. Love & to present him with a certificate of recognition for his contribution to the music world, as well as a medallion. – at Wave

Thank you for the honor of reading the official Proclamation recognizing the end of our Sesquicentennial year. It was great to visit the traditional Mayor office & use the same balcony Mayor's have used throughout our history for such declarations.

I just dropped by the Grand Opening of the new El Rio Bravo SuperMarket North Wichita. The store was absolutely packed with people & the energy was amazing. Congratulations to the team that made this happen! Locally owned grocery stores are great additions to our community. 🙂

63 years ago, the young people of Wichita, Kansas led the nations first civil rights sit-in. Wichita’s young voices have a history of showing up & standing firm in our values, even when it’s uncomfortable. Thank you to the leaders of the Dockum Sit-In. I CAN because THEY DID!
