Advertisers are free to make whatever unethical decisions they want. The only reason they got strict with ads was because of language policing nutjobs conspiring to find a way to cut off revenue from people they don't like to try and brute force cooperating with their bullshit
Because cutting off social media entirely is just that easy and will definitely not make life difficult in the future. The fact that these corporations have so much power and more and more people DEPEND on them for their livelihood should concern you if you care about free speech
