I didn’t know the Catholic Church was for the destruction of the nuclear family and embracing your queer self.
@BishopDoherty@Pontifex are definitely taking the church in a new direction. -
Why not value family structures that go beyind parents and kids? Why not value extended families where aunts and grandparents are involved in raising kids? And yes, I do embrace my queer catholic identity, as do many LGBT catholics.

As a white Catholic, I am in complete agreement with Reverend Massingale's statement, you've quoted above. I know so many Catholics animated by the call to social justice, but also many others who are not. We, as a catholic church, must do better.
