I am too overloaded to do this right now, but I'd love to see some focussed effort on making Rust easier to use for 'scripting' like tasks
You'd still have the burden of manual memory management though. I use Haskell for statically-typed scripting (global type inference helps).

I don't find that much of a burden tbh. I think I write Rust code as fast or faster than Python right now. Only an issue with graphs

especially for 'throwaway' code I find I can through `Rc`s at most problems till they go away.
