is it too bad, though? Surely it is intention of PR author to license it this way already. Otherwise why contribute?

I definitely don't want GitHub's default terms to override my control over which license each (part of a) PR is licensed under.

Isn't clear how to opt out of defaults so we're now open to arguments that we didn't do really opt out so our terms are overridden.
