There isn’t any thing implicit that says Patreon is 100% of income. I’m sure he makes consulting etc rev too

True. He seems to model his Patreon levels and messaging in a more reasonable (sustainable) way than others I looked at recently.

Not sure I believe in "sponsorship" as an economic model for such things. Actually am trying to help others fund other projects.
