Unfortunate that RISC-V groups multiplication (×) & division (÷) into extension M. Lots of crypto (e.g. all of *ring*) needs × but not ÷.
I think wide multiply is supported by fusing the lo- and hi- multiplication into a single op, transparently and optionally.
