Our Augmented Reality workshops for Neurodivergent Adults are now on video. No previous experience needed, just follow as she takes you through the steps to create your own digital magic…

photo of a hand holding a smart phone with digital imagery, in the corner of the photo is a thumbnail pic of course leader Edie Jo Murray as she explains the process.
A photo of two hands holding a smart phone in front of a desktop computer. The same digital image is present on both devices. It looks like a lollipop in front of the BOM logo, but I could be wrong....

We’re in a cold & rainy Birmingham far away from the Caribbean just as Carnival season is winding up, but as our exhibition features Baff Akoto’s film LEAVE THE EDGES, we at least have the sound of carnival in Guadeloupe playing several times a day. Come & feel the heat 😎

A photograph from the film, LEAVE THE EDGES. We see the profile head and shoulders of two women drummers taking part in carnival in Guadeloupe. They wear tall black hats and clothing decorated with beads and wear black and white face paint. The image is reflected in the mirrored interior of the installation where the film is being shown.

The decorated peaks are multiplying on our mezzanine gallery map. Our thanks to the visitor who created this seafaring mosque with a special message for non-Muslims. Loving your work. Assalamu alaikum! Gallery open Wed - Sat, 11am - 4pm Come & make yours!

Photo of a small paper boat/mosque. The paper boat has two visible cones within it, the tallest of which has a large star. We can see a folded piece of paper stuck on the boat which has the words, "OPEN CAUTION" The next picture has the message that's contained within the folded paper.
A yellow and white finely striped paper is unfolded and the words, "Islam is a religion of peace. Brotherhood and sisterhood. Asalam'ulaikum this is how we greet!"are written inside. In the background are other artworks that visitors have made but they're blurred and difficult to make out.
