Also, the Durham police DID initially lay charges against Miller, on the word of that SAME off-duty cop who beat him. But the charges were dropped. Gosh, I wonder why...

No, beating the shit out of a stranger isn't acceptable behaviour where I'm from. Police claim to find drugs as retroactive justification for violence and harrassment against ppl. Black people are disproportionately targeted for "drug crimes".

I don't know why he was beaten up. Hopefully that will come out when the case goes to trial. We do know that cops across North America have documented history of harassing and abusing Black teenagers and using alleged drug possession as justification.

Michael, I can't keep going in circles w/ a cop apologist who won't accept the simplest Occam's razor scenario: two brothers late at night beat the crap out of a teenager and the thin Blue line covered it up. THAT IS WHY THEY HAVE BEEN CHARGED.

As I said before, there is a long well documented history of cops in Toronto and elsewhere arbitrarily harrassing and using excessive force black youth. It is precedented.

There is no amount of "suspicious activity" which justifies chasing a man down the street and beating him to the point of LOSING AN EYE. I would fight back too, if two guys attacked me w/ a metal pipe.
