Personally, I think the "must have been a Governor or Senator" thing is overrated and I think his 2018 performance was indeed impressive and I've got no problem with Beto being treated as a serious candidate. I'm not sure why Stacey Abrams isn't in the same bucket, though.

As Ari says: the power grabs in WI and MI should be a massive national story. Every indication I’ve seen is that when people know what’s going on, they’re outraged—but few know. Democracy dies in darkness. Who do you hope covers this? Tag in replies.

The anti-Pelosi forces would be more compelling if they could offer: 1. A complaint besides "Republicans hate her" and the utterly meaningless "It's time for new leadership" 2. An argument for why a specific other person would do a better job as speaker

I want to congratulate for their hard-earned victories. With a Democratic trifecta in the state House, Senate and the Governorship, Maine could not be in better hands. Also, congratulations on your victory in the fight to expand healthcare.

Here's another screenshot of an Assumption college ad next to an article encouraging teenagers to self-harm. Not a good look for a university.

Just a thought, but if Beto O'Rourke can finish within 2-3 points, the Rocky I effect takes place where Beto runs in 2020 as the up-and-comer who came oh-so-close and captured the national media's attention in the process. In fact, put him in the Top-5 if that happens.
