I did a fun (for me) science thread, but I promised I'd do a thread about trans men, virilismia, and the stigma against ugly women, so let's go! To start out: Are you a trans man whose spent some part of your life being perceived as an ugly woman? What do you make of that?

I was pretty in an odd way (think Juliette Lewis in What's Eating Gilbert Grape, although exponentially more awkward), but I was never treated by my peers as the Officially Pretty girls were treated.

I tried hard, off and on, to be whatever it was that girls were supposed to be, the way everyone seemed to find it so effortless to be. It didn't work, lol, and the fakeness/effort/tryharding was really obvious.
