On a positive note, I had the loveliest cab driver tonight who made sure I had my keys ready and he kept his lights on until I reached my door. He was very sweet,
@13cabs Ben in Sydney, taxi T2050 and driver ID 38707. Really appreciated his service.Show this thread

It's tiring and I honestly believe completely ineffective. I hate this messaging so much because it just leads to women limiting and self regulating their behaviour more and more because of violent men that we cannot control. What's the point? It just hurts women again.

I live on the Sunshine Coast, so I guess our chances of crime here are reduced. I don't really experience this anxiety at all. Every so often I walk ~5km in the dark by myself because it's my only way home after a certain point in the evening.

I take my headphones off when walking up stairs in the car park, just in case I get jumped in the stairwell.

I don't remember the last time I walked past a guy and didn't turn around afterwards to check they're still walking that way and not towards me

So gear you on this 1 Ebony after going out to dinner received toy with 2 girlfriends & parking in a different area. There was a guy walking slowly up & down street who faked going to a car. He doubled back behind me & walked toward carpark. Lucky there were other ppl around!!
