Taylor's claim, spurred by Schiff's questions, that the aid provides Ukraine negotiating leverage and thus advances the odds of a settlement, seems wrong. Aid may well prolongs the war by encouraging Ukraine not to cut a deal they otherwise would.

You could be but the POV of the heretofore bipartisan consensus was that the Russian aggression on Ukraine could not be addressed without same. There’s also the fact (presented) that Ukrainians are dying right now because of this delay.
