    We’re in Lancashire this week removing some of the stations we have here, originally put in to establish a seismic baseline for the area. This is aq05, which should stop broadcasting for the last time today

    Here's a much better image of yesterday's Edinburgh earthquake as recorded on six nearby stations. vertical scale is counts (voltage) and each trace has been scaled differently to make the waveform as clear as possible.

    We detected an 2.5ML earthquake south of Edinburgh at 10.01 this morning, just outside Penicuik. We've already received a few felt reports, and given it location its likely to have been felt by quite a few people. You can find more details at-

    Updated: seismic response in the UK to the COVID-19 lockdowns 1.0 and 2.0. Lockdown 2.0 saw a less sudden drop in noise, but perhaps ended up even being a bit quieter in places, especially at the weekends 🤨🤔. Data comes from & networks.
