Make sure to specify that payment of fines and costs cannot be used to deny this right. That is currently being used by Republicans in Florida to deny similar rights to ex cons in defiance of the will of the people

Hopefully they won’t charge those felons with a “poll tax” like they are trying to do in Florida. They are trying to make felons pay fines and costs related to their convictions before being allowed to register to vote. It has been blocked by a judge, but the issue is ongoing.
