and she is aware that which works in a deep blue district will not work in a deep red one, so she is not expecting AOC clones to run/win everywhere.

Not suggesting they should run everywhere. But they could run in literally dozens of districts.
-
sure. The hard part is finding people who are both ambitious and authentic. What makes AOC work is that she is pretty true to herself, which is not easy when advisers are always telling pols to do what is thought of as safe/popular

She has some good ideas.... as do many young people. Unfortunately, they still have not figured out how to properly pay for all those ideas.

Just look at Germany, Sweden, Japan, Denmark, ... Sweden rates better for doing business than the U.S.!

WV ain’t NY.

The entire Midwest, Great Plains and Deep South have more in common with Venus and Mars than the Bronx.

Maybe the rural parts, but not the cities, where a large portion of the population lives.
-
Totally false. For instance, Sharice Davids broke through in Kansas not because she was like AOC. In fact, the candidate AOC went to Kansas to support in the primary against Sharice Davids LOST. That's Kansas City/Overland Park - the "city" where the population lives.

This might undersell the extent to which
@AOC is a generational talent. There is a handful of representatives whose politics are broadly similar to hers, but none are nearly so good at selling their ideas as she is.Thanks. Twitter will use this info to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@AOC is not radical.....Being the only developed country NOT to have universal health is radical. Not providing free education is radical. Not providing paid maternity is radical. Etc -
I pay taxes. I want more stuff (well, services); not more stealth bombers.

That's like saying "why don't more boxers follow Tyson's model of knocking people out in the first round?" It takes a special individual, also.

Her idea of "free" govt programs is but then elected officials on the left always say "free" this or that. Problem is gov't doesn't have any money, got to take it from someone or print it out of things air
-
And as she rightfully points out, nobody questions the GOP and corp D's on how to pay for frivolous wars, tax cuts for the wealthy, corporate welfare, but when it comes to providing for the welfare of it's citizens, the govt and media is suddenly "how do you pay for it??"
-
We don't have the money for that stuff either. In regards to tax cuts, income taxes should be cut across the board and they should go hand in hand with spending cuts, starting with military spending.
