This budget would take food away from the hungry, shelter away from the impoverished, health care away from the sick, assistance away from people with disabilities. How cruel can you be? You don't get to propose policies like this and still pretend to care about people.
Thank you all so much for sharing your WIC stories. WIC saves lives. It is so clearly effective - higher birth weights, achievement in school, etc. - that it has traditionally enjoyed large bipartisan support. The more folks understand it helps people, the better for everyone.
