22- The ‘to-be-extinct majority’ takes the role of a ‘endangered native’, which is categorically deceitful given that in colonised nations it was the ‘whites’ who were in fact the minority that robbed the *actual natives* of their identity and humanity.

23- He wilfully omits that these racial social categories are rooted in racist foundations which assume the dichotomy of white *versus* ‘others’. By legitimising the ‘concerns’ of a ‘threatened’ majority, he facilitates a discourse of the ‘purity’ of this ‘unmixed’ race.

24- He fails to account that people’s lives are histories of movement, migration, and diversity. There is no intrinsic, essential Englishness (let alone Britishness), but rather an identification which can be learned and adopted and thus, changed.

25- Kaufmann’s racialisation helps in producing and perpetuating the understandings of migration or class in terms of ‘race’. This, alone, would not be harmful, as it is important to see the impact that race has in class positioning. But…

26- ...it becomes remarkably dangerous when it poses people of colour and migrants as a *threat* to the ‘indigenous’ white population.

27- This strictly relates to how his work justifies the ‘culture wars’. The re-rise of alt-right movements and the rise in racist and xenophobic crimes CANNOT be explained, let alone justified in a sense of loss from ‘the white majority’.
