Dominic Raab says leaving with no deal will mean "tariffs on some goods" which make up a "very small proportion" of food bills." He added: "I'm not saying there won't be any changes but scare stories about cupboards running bare...are nonsense." #R4Todayhttps://bbc.in/3gyZt4R

You seem not to realise, but we have accidentally got ourselves an anti-British government. That's probably a bit more important.

He didn't know Dover was a vital port, so I doubt it. For an intelligent (by all accounts) man, Raab is extraordinarily ignorant.

He’s sort of saying “I’m rich, I don’t give a fuck about 50p tacked on to a can of muck meat you bought at @LidlGB”

From a man who said people who used foodbanks merely had a cash flow problem. He means his cupboard and his friends' cupboards. #r4today

I’m sure that nice Mr Rees-Mogg promised *cheaper* food and footwear, didn’t he? Not food with tariffs increasing costs by even a “very small” proportion? And certainly not shortages. So, can we trust that all of these are ‘scare stories’ and indeed nonsense?
