Since June, almost every weekend in Hong Kong has seen a peaceful rally end in pitched battle
How does this happen?

“Be water” After the stand-off, protesters fanned out to districts further away - channeling a mantra of the protests - a philosophy about being fluid and adaptable taken from martial arts legend Bruce Lee Timeline of events

“If we don’t have the courage to escalate our resistance, we will lose faith” Though there are clearly two types of protesters - peaceful and hardcore - there appears to be an understanding between them Because ultimately they share the same goalshttps://www.bbc.co.uk/news/extra/1diisEsIvY/hong-kong-protests …

HK gov is suppressing our fundamental human rights and spreading white terror. Today HK police even said that people coming on the street tmr may risk prosecuted.

One thing important: illegal.
-
When the government control the legislative body they can make anything illegal.
-
but setting fire, attacking poeple, destroying city facilities etc. are indeed illegal in EVERYWHERE.
-
This doesn't mean that the police using excessive force and sexual assault to the accused person.

It is time police take control of the situ. These are not true protestors but rioters. China should step in.
-
no,we will not step in ,we believe hk government is able to handle it
-
Isn't china already stepping in sending troops and APCs to Hk?
-
yep ,we did it 22 years ago,we sent troops, navy ,air forces and special forces maybe,u can google it
-
Not sure what that has to do with this, interfering is interfering.
-
If u dont know about china and hongkong, its ok, but if u know history a little bit, u should understand hk is a part of china, sending troops is china's political rights,hk garrison is only for hk defense, so dont use the word “interfereing”,its not appropriate
-
Yeah okay... first you say Hong Kong's government can handle it now you say it's China's right to INTERFERE with the situation by sending troops. I'll use any word i like, and interfere is entirely appropriate here since HK can handle it after all, right?
-
Maybe i didnt make it clearly, china sent troops to hk 22 years ago, in 1997 hk came back to china so china sent troops to hk, and hk's garrison is ONLY for hk's defense, NOT for public security, so garrison wont help hk government to handle what happening in hk, clear?

No police is charged for their crime. It is difficult for protesters to control their anger.
