It would be easy if the EU was grown up about it all. It should be possible to withdraw from a trading bloc. The truth is, the EU is scared that if the UK is seen to prosper after Brexit, it may encourage other countries to Leave, once they stop getting a subsidy from UK taxpayers

The Eu are just following int’l law. They have done nothing wrong. It is we who have voted to leave. More ridiculous still we expect, and we’re promised, all the benefits without any of the costs or to follow any rules (the point of the single market/benefit). We look ridiculous.

The BBC HATE #Brexit. Any time sterling falls, supposedly due to Brexit, they report "the pound fell today" with great alacrity. But today, after a stalemate #SalzburgSummit, the pound ROSE SIGNIFICANTLY - counter-intuitive to some. Will @BBCNews report that? I doubt it. Fools!

The UK decided to leave. That means start negotiations from scratch like every other non-EU country has to. You can't have one part and dish the rest. This will set precedents for other countries who could say "well if the UK can, why can't we?" Not how it works

Not if one has to belief all the various anti-European parties across the union. But none of them have called for a referendum yet. They are probably awaiting the outcome (success/failure) of the Brexit.

This is what happened: She triggered Article 50 with nothing prepared. Had plan because she knows Hard Brexit would destroy British trade & currency but couldn't abandon Brexit because she would have to go. Told EU wouldn't accept it. Now humiliated, #Brexit #SalzburgSummit18

I hear it was Brexit Ultras at CCHQ who came up with the Conservative Brexit means Brexit and nothing else at last election Thinking it was a vote winner. No lumbered and lumbering.
