Well that situation is likely to change, as the SDF has already indicated they'll have to reach out to Syria/Russia for protection if US won't act. State TV putting the cart before the horse.

The Kurds will have to turn to Russia for protection now which gives Putin a free hand in Syria just as agent Trump was instructed to make happen.

That is perfectly logical - USA is an unreliable ally to Kurds who should have realised this after the Iran/Iraq war and following the US war in Iraq when they sided with Turkey to deny a Kurdish state. Kurdish leadership deserve criticism for choosing such unteliable allies
