It would have been interesting to see what it would have been like without Covid, as I’m sure more countries eg Ireland and Spain were due to host

In 2014 when the tournament was announced only the Final & Semi Finals were scheduled for Wembley. Since then Brussels & Dublin were removed and England were given all their group games and the round of 16 game. Anyone else and the English media would be crying corrupt

That's the fault of Covid, no one else. Only 3 group games were played at Wembley, the 3 games that would have been anyhow. Italy have had their games in Rome, Wembley and Munich. They have hardly been sent across Europe.
