And Jesus himself stated it didn't need to be in a "church" . So get the bishops taught up on the fact that you can worship anywhere and let's keep people safe aye?? Jesus taught on a hill but our soft bishops required decked out churches? Get on zoom!

I would refer the Catholic Bishops to today's shocking Covid figures. Spiritual welfare is secondary to the welfare all of the people of Scotland and the NHS that we depend on. Virtual group worship is feasible - perhaps the bishops are more concerned about the collection plate.

I thought God was everywhere? Then why would anyone need to go to church to pray?

That would be an ecumenical matter

I have elderly Catholic relatives who are shielding. The church should be reassuring them that they should stay at home and that God doesn't mind them missing mass rather than this nonsense.

While they're at it, perhaps the church could have a quiet word with that lady and advise her to get another mask so she doesn't look like she's just been savaged by Hanibal Lecter.

It’s (hopefully) not forever. I am a non practicing Catholic and yes, I admit, I’ve felt the urge to go to chapel over the last few months to quiet the chatter in my head. It does create a peaceful feeling but I’d like the chapel to myself.
