Is there a lack of understanding, 5 conditions have to be met. There could be a very catastrophic 2nd wave, if lockdown eased too early.
@Conservatives Until the 5 conditions met, not much can change. It's NO choice it's essential to save lives. Or lose > lives? No one wants this -
Challenge is we do not know what lives are being lost through 'those WITH virus' that is virus and those through 'economic' restrictions, although there is factual evidence from past recessions that provide an idea. Lot of at risk kids not at school, what about them ? Forget them

Who cares what they want. They’re more worried about their finances than the public’s safety. Doctors and scientists should be guiding us not fat cat Tories
-
They only take the advice from 'scientists' on their own payroll. If a Doctor says something that doesn't fit with their financial plans, he is 'struck off' their list and demonised.

In the absence of a vaccine or effective treatments, lifting lockdown prematurely will just lead to further waves of infection and death

Sorry, but sentimentality doesn't pay bills. The overwhelming majority of the population are going to be fine. We can't stop shielding the vulnerable, but if we stay in lockdown too long, the deaths from other causes will be far far more serious.
