It breaks my heart, with a few tears shedding, to see all our MEPs singing #AuldLangSyne in the European Parliament. Our membership should be honoured and cherished for the years to come. And I sincerely hope that we will rejoin when the time is right. #IAmEuropean

British nationalists leaving the EU singing old Lang syne, written by the very famous poet Rabbie Burns. What a bunch of Muppets singing a Scottish song waving there Union Jack flags. Let's get Independence done NOW Scotland

Those singing Auld Lang Syne weren't British nationalists--it was mostly MEPs from the rest of Europe. They chose a Scottish song to signal that they get it: this is an English decision foisted against the will of Scotland.

That’s it. The final hurdle. In two days we’ll be an independent, sovereign nation again; for the first time in 47 years. Those who feared us gaining that independence fought hard to keep us shackled to the EU. But democracy won the day. Bravo, Britain
