Given that #Brexit has been promoted by a teeny tiny minority of extreme so-called #Conservatives who have tapped into a genuine layer of political discontent, I can't help but agree with John Bercow.
This is a new low-point in British democracy.

I'm still yet to hear why EU membership is so great for the UK 3 years on. Is it the political union or the economic union Remainers love so much?

Bercow was the worst Speaker to have held that post. Sibgke handedly he has indelibly besmirched what once was a lauded position in parliament.

Worth remembering that before the referendum, he was notorious for standing up for eurosceptics against Cameron's government. The reality is, he supported parliament to have its say and prevented government tricks against parliament.

He had a government of rogues to keep in ORDER which he did very well. Don't ignore that John Bercow brought the backbenchers into play, more so than any other Speaker. He also encouraged schools groups into Parliament and was terrific at explaining the whole thing to them.

Should be knighted.

One consolation, he will not get a Peerage.
