Hindsight is great and things can always be improved but at the time the scene needed to be secure and to make sure no other bombers were around our emergency services do a fantastic job and should be given more respect

Sad to say that the spirit of the fire service has been eroded, undermined & possibly even eliminated by zero-risk policies, strict application of H&S laws that stifle operational response (& even realistic training). None of this should be a surprise

Don't blame the emergency services....blame the import of the problem that caused it in the first place. #OpenBorders

If we are a risk-averse society then the media must take some blame.Instead of jumping on the slightest criticism by anyone they could praise for once. I'm sure the fear of secondary devices was a factor. Imagine if medics were killed having been sent into an unsafe area.

Emergency services let down by successive Conservative government because of cuts to funding because of lack of "Magic money trees." Unless they want to buy DUP votes or give themselves pay rises.

They didn't respond to it, turning up 2 hours after the fact isn't responding. Desperately looking for scapegoats won't save your reputation either.

Look back at the Warrenpoint bomb or Lisburn HQ people killed through secondary devices, the chief fire officers didn't cause the bomb, Islam caused this bomb and no one else, it's only going to get worse until we do something about it.
