My mom died from ovarian cancer. Her only sign was indigestion. Her tummy got bigger and she thought she was just gaining weight. She had a tumour the size of an orange and it had spread all over her abdomen. She died within 2 months of diagnose.

I am so very sorry for the loss of your mother. My aunt self-medicated for what she thought were ulcers, then her diagnosis.

I had an ovarian tumour removed last Sept and had put the symptoms down to going through the change. Don’t hesitate to get checked out if your body feels different in any way. My tumour grew rapidly in a matter of weeks and weighed 7.5kg. The

We completely agree Ruth - you know your body better than anyone else.. If something doesn't feel right, always push for more testing. Have you visited our online community http://ribboncares.com ? It provides info on prevention, detection and support for women's cancer.

Over 3yrs went to my drs with text book symptoms. Fobbed off each time, told it’s IBS. No scans/examinations. Turned out to be 2kg tumour.

My mum was exactly the same, fobbed off with IBS for years by the doctor. 2 weeks before her death, we all found out that it wasn’t IBS but stage 4 ovarian cancer. The tumour had grown so much, she looked pregnant.
