Nothing remarkable in this statement. Given the sad state of the world its to be expected. Major concern is, if our security is sufficient and robust enough to minimise impact. An aspect we have paid insufficient attention to, certainly in government (NHS).

I thought we have had already 'major cyber attacks'? Where on the scale of disaster does this new 'major' sit?

I mean accessing people personal tax/business accounts being able to change that data would be pretty catastrophic for every day life of most people, that's not even looking at a hack into a military op with classified docs or with remote control of vehicles etc
