and yet somehow @DailyMailUK manage to minimise the Tory influence in this and spin the councils as being almost totally to blame

Is there a purpose to the Victoria Beckham's lose of £8mill imposed next to the council tax increase?! The tax rise is not to pay back Victoria's loses now is it?

I don't recall the same outrage when Starbucks raised the price of a caramel latte, with no change in value. Local governments are dealing with rising demand with stagnant household count

There is no justification for the council tax to be increased by more than the rate of inflation. I'd love my work pension to be increased by 6%.

It's caused by chronic underfunding (ineptitude) from central government. It isn't the fault of the local authorities. #canttrustthetories

Police funding? That's where the CON is in the CONservative party. Another stealth tax. More people in poverty and more homeless just what we all need well Done Mrs May.

Constantly raiding people's pockets is the easy answer. Politicians are supposed to be the brightest in the land. Start thinking out of box

Will this result in more council tax benefit and therefore not impact on local electors so not force LAs not to waste money?

Elections have consequences. The Tories are a party of lower taxes. Tactically through council taxes, people'll not know. As the cost of living isis hitting the lower classes, hit them more with additional taxes,. Soon they'll blame the EU for not giving UK cherry-picked deal.

This will be to pay council payroll members' pensions. Local councils are an outdated model now. There are no business professionals at all.
