The whole point of sea trails is to find these problems! Jesus what a non story this is! It’s about time the bbc stopped running this country down at every opportunity

Highly embarrassing?? Get a grip Beale! It’s an enormous bespoke aircraft carrier not an underfloor heating pipe. I’d imagine the odd leak is expected and contingencies are in place to rectify. Think the Royal Navy will manage

That's one of the reasons for sea trials, to identify such issues very early. Don't turn it into the major issue it isn't.

Some context would probably help. HMS Queen Elizabeth displaces 70,600 tonnes of water. That’s over 70 MILLION litres. If it’s taking on water at a rate of 200 litres an hour, it would take over 130 years to sink. Small leaks are common on vessels this large.

"The truth is similar leaks in other warships are not unusual and can be fixed relatively easily" - more non-story 'journalism' from so called 'Defence' Hacks.

For goodness sake don't mention other ships. I heard they bought a troop carrier and found it had a slow puncture after one week. This could justify a Panorama project for the next couple of years.

A drip from the prop shaft. Most of my boats had one of those from time to time. An annoyance when you consider the scale of the engineering involved to correct the fault! But, in the meantime I don’t suppose they’re bailing it out by hand with buckets!

As ever the BBC make a drama out of nothing. ALL ships take on a bit of water..couple of 100 Larson an hr on a ship that size is knack all. Tighten up the seal is all that’s needed. NON STORY. ( and it’s from the SUN toilet paper!)
