Why is it the Rohingya's plight has been known for years, but it's only now it's a disaster that the BBC give it prominence? #bbcnewsten

Because their 'plight' is a result of their inability to cohabit with Hindus and Buddhists and have used violence to make the land theirs

I have a question. What was it that caused the normally peaceful Hindu population of Myanmar to drive out the Rohingya Muslims?
-
They're Buddhist, not Hindu. And this has been going on a long time. Land? Perhaps religion? Buddhists aren't all the Dalai Lama. Shameful.
-
Thank you for the correction. And Buddhists do have such a well known reputation for violence don’t they?
-
It surprised the hell out of me when I 1st heard about it. But I've seen (on TV, good source) "volunteers" fighting to take people to A&E...

Thank you BBC for following and shedding light on this tragic situation.
-
There’s a lot more to the story than the bbc Is letting on (as per usual) do a bit of digging & see for yourself.
-
Maybe so.... Im not normally a fan of BBC due to my differing personal beliefs but I hate seeing kids caught in the middle.

Actually all the news stations are biased and deceptive to achieve their agenda. I read or watch a mixture and hope the truth lies in there somewhere.
