Interesting that Bupa stated that syringe driver training is available to all registered nurses in their homes. But that dosnt mean they actually received it!

I am happy for my elderly relative with alzheimers in care to habe as many drugs as possible in their final days, even if it shortens life by 48 hours, if painfree & not distressed...so be it

Relative complaining that nurses couldnt give drugs unless they were prescribed. Well yes thats the LAW The Liverpool Care Pathway as a concept DID help make decision making clearer but hysteria & misuse got that scrapped
