Someone at
#Radio2 needs sacked. What a poor decision this was. The#Drivetime show was far and away the best show Radion 2 done. Good luck@simonmayoThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Many in the BBC are deaf to their listeners, not sure why. It was obvious the new drivetime format was misguided. They’ve chosen the wrong person for Breakfast, they’ll haemorrhage listeners from that show too. But they think they know best, they don’t, the listeners do.
-
I’m afraid I disagree, Zoe Ball is not that good, but it’s only my opinion. Sara Cox is much warmer, much funnier, more expressive. @MelGiedroycTV is absolutely superb on Magic, hysterical, clever and warm. But maybe early starts 5 days a week are not for her?
-
Sara cox all the way!

Was always going to happen stopped listening after giving it a few weeks. All in the name of potical correctness. And gender balance

It had to happen
@BBCRadio2 wrecked the show by introducing Jo Whiley into the show, bit like putting sugar on your chips instead of salt, it doesn’t work !!!Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

That’s because
@BBCRadio2 messed with the#DriveTimeTeam someone tried to fix something that wasn’t broken.#gutted Drive Time used to be a great show -
Couldn’t agree more. I’m actually seething with anger
-
They seem to be intent on losing core listeners. But then, they don’t have to worry about how many listeners they lose because their income won’t be affected. So really we don’t even appear on their radar. They are
#unaccountable -
Precisely. That old salary hits the account month after month irrespective of results.

You can’t blame Jo. She can’t help being incredibly annoying. Blame the big wigs at Radio 2.
-
She's not annoying. Her show was very good, but it was a mistake to change the great show drive time was. Simon and Jo were not good together, but they worked perfectly alone. And yes, it's the "big wigs" fault and their need to be more "inclusive" and bring a woman to the show.

Another excellent presenter moving on after an unnecessary change. Heads should roll on this one!

Jo Wiley is great in her own right, but
@BBC continued efforts toward political correctness has been a disaster for the Drivetime show hosted by Simon Mayo alone; resulting in the loss to R2 of a formerly great show and a great show host.#lessonstolearn#becarefulwhatyouwishforThanks. Hopefully
@BBCRadio2 will learn from this. How many listeners have you lost from Drivetime? Drivetime was a wonderful show, until some know-it all decided to change everything. Choose the next presenter very carefully.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Well Radio 2 mucked up big time. The Breakfast and Drivetime presenters leaving within a month or two of each other and the Whiley & Mayo experiment will surely go down in radio folklore as an example of how not to change a schedule.
#bringbackdrivetime -
It will be called 'doing a drivetime'

It would be nice if occasionally someone from the BBC would hold up their hands and say “we messed up” we didn’t listen to the most important people, the listeners. Attacks on Jo Whiley are inexcusable.
