Can we have an accurate number on how many attended the peoples march. Police estimate it at 130,000 and the remainers say 630.000. I have to say I'm with the police on this seeing as they were there but would appreciate the Beebs figure.

@metpoliceuk reported that they were unable to tell how many. We could not get to the parliament square and had to turn back because we simply did not fit in. I have been to all marches, this was the biggest by far. -

The reason we have a parliamentary democracy is to ensure that people's views are represented. Mass marches occur when people choose anarchy over democracy. The poll tax failed, not because of marches, but because it was uncollectable pensioners living alone suffered as a result
