        So you’re happy for Brexit to be delayed so that negotiations can be rebooted under a new PM, but not for an extended transition period to strike the right deal. Sorry, can’t see the logic in that. A delay is a delay, whatever the circumstances.

        Or maybe we should have adopted some of the rules we helped create, such as controls on EU migration, counting people in and out, and requiring other EU nationals to leave if they don’t have jobs after several months - just as other EU countries do? We can do that under EU law.
