        1) The box is not important, what comes inside it is. 2) Most Finnish babies (mine included) sleep their first weeks or months home in the Baby Box, and none of the "safety doubts" have actualized. When the sample is nation wide, the results are rather conclusive

This has existed in Finland for 75 years and helped to achieve one of the world's lowest infant mortality rates.👶🏻Get over BBC that #Scotland has a much better gov than we do. More sensible and forward thinking. @NicolaSturgeon actually understands families. #nicolasturgeon #baby

When I was born my first cot was the bottom drawer of my parents wardrobe. I survived I am now a great grandfather. The baby pictured should be further down the box to avoid suffocation.

Small mattress may help a baby sleep in such box. Probably mothers are afraid baby moving to fall from a bet but safe in a box ?

So it's been used since the 1930s and not they think it may be unsafe. I think they would have realised before now. Great scheme. Who is paying for the research? Cot makers?
