This theory (and some supporting data) has been around a long time (reviewed here https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/28176027 ) - I can't see that this study with TINY sample adds much to it.

Such a strange thing for the BBC to publish, maybe they have been hacked.

Yes. We can expect a Hard Brexit defence of this “perfectly adequate voice of these 18 people” sample size any moment now on BBC.

This story is about 15 years old. And was debunked then.

omg yes, thanks. I hated this story, but apparently was not smart enough to discern that of course both twins were exposed to the same levels. unless one was an alien-that story next week on BBC :)

so measuring 36 sets of fingers makes a study statistically significant and worth the BBC's time and effort to report it now does it? What about reporting some large important studies instead?

Maybe there wasn't an excess of half gay twins available?

there was no control group. They should've also measured the fingers of sets of heterosexual twins and I bet that a similar number of twin 1 would have had different length fingers to twin 2 as in the sample set. However sample size is far 2 small for any conclusions 2 be drawn
