Let's see what happens. Too much speculation. Remember this is a negotiation. Negotiations always play out this way when both both parties are savvy. The impression the press leave with us of impotence/things going badly - totally fails to reflect this.

But things do go badly, no speculation necessary to see that much. Almost everyone promising how easy and great Brexit would be either ran away or has been exposed as a liar.
-
But Brexit has not happened yet this is the negociations. Most impressions of badness are press hype to sell media. So far, all predictions that the economy would fall apart right after the vote have long since passed. That should tell us something. Let's wait and see.
-
So you are okay with believing the charlatans who said Brexit would be super easy, there are no downsides etc. but call all the bad news "press hype"?
-
Yes as one is proven, the other yet to be known.

We have come to always have low expectations of Mrs May as a negotiator, and of the EU as a negotiating partner.
